The short version
Forgetze stores everything on your device and nothing anywhere else. We don't collect, transmit, sell, or analyze your data — we never see it at all.
What Forgetze stores
Only what you type: names, birthdays, notes, family details, addresses, and social links for the people you add. It's saved locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
What Forgetze doesn't do
- No cloud storage or sync — your data never leaves your device
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising of any kind
- No accounts — there is nothing to sign up for
- No third-party SDKs that see your data
Voice search
When you use the microphone to search, your audio is processed by Apple's speech recognition to turn it into text. Forgetze doesn't store or transmit your audio. Microphone and speech permissions are requested only when you first tap the mic, and you can revoke them anytime in iOS Settings.
Apple Contacts import
If you choose Import, Forgetze reads your Apple Contacts once — on your device — to copy names, birthdays, addresses, and links into your library. Nothing is uploaded, and access happens only when you tap Import.
Purchases
The optional "Unlimited people" upgrade is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Forgetze never sees your payment details.
Your control
Edit or delete any person or detail at any time. You can create a local backup of your library and restore from it whenever you need to. Deleting the app deletes all of its data.
